Wondering if anyone has any recent experience with this. Considering traveling to Ghana soon and my Yellow Fever vaccination expired in Dec of 2015. I tried getting a new vaccine and was told that the updated guidance is that you only need the shot once and it lasts for a lifetime. However, the Ghana Embassy website states that the yellow fever vaccination needs to be within 10 years. Has anyone entered Ghana with older vaccine records?

Hi have just had ours so asked for you.

The chemist said that the vaccine is a life one so even if it says 10yrs on the yellow card it should be accepted even if its out of date as its a life one.

The recent cards now should have for life written on them not 10years.

Ghana accepts Yellow Fever vaccines at 10 years old or under.
